Tell Us North CIC has been the legal entity and host organisation for Healthwatch Gateshead and Healthwatch Newcastle for over a decade.
In this capacity, we have worked alongside local communities and public sector organisations to ensure the voices of residents are heard and reflected in decision-making processes, and become well known for our evidence-based work in health and social care.
Making a difference
In 2025-26, Healthwatch Gateshead and Healthwatch Newcastle played a vital role in championing the experiences of local people.
Across both areas, the organisations supported more than 18,000 residents to access information, share feedback, and take part in engagement and research activity.

This work provided independent insight for commissioners, providers, and decision-makers, helping to highlight what matters most to communities and where services could be improved.
Through listening, advice, research, and reporting, both organisations continued to strengthen the voice of local people and support more responsive, person-centred health and social care services.
